Rebecca Borton, CFP®, RICP®, BFA™
Financial Planner
I’ve been counselling clients one-one-one for more than a decade, and it feels very fitting to come back to the family firm to take care of the people dearest to us. It was the personal connection and service element that got me hooked on being a financial advisor at the start of my career. That same motivation drove me to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, the gold standard in personal financial advice. Simply put, I want to do the best for our clients.
Since the early days of my career, it has been important to me to give holistic, unbiased guidance to my clients. I want to have all the tools, and the impartial position to choose wisely. I’ve pursued technical education (securities, insurance, retirement and tax strategies) as well as the soft skills that make client meetings more like intimate conversations.
I lead our financial planning practice covering all core subject areas including cash flow, risk management, estate planning, liability management, education funding, retirement planning, Social Security claiming, investment allocation and location, and multi-decade tax planning.
I also implement advisory and brokerage investment solutions for clients, long-term care insurance, disability income protection, life insurance, fixed, variable, and income annuities.
If you want to be inspired by the big picture opportunities in your life and dig into the nitty gritty details of how to best put them together, I look forward to hearing from you.
When not serving our clients or driving the firm forward, I like to eat and exercise. I am religious about my yoga class, enjoy our weekly gym and running club, and walking on the trail behind our home in Herndon. Francine taught me to see cooking as a creative outlet and most days I’m sauteing up something from our farm share or feeding my sourdough. I love spending time with friends and family, snuggling our three kitties, and being an active community member.
